Karnataka in Race of Creating at Least Ten Smart Cities

Bengaluru: Karnataka Government is in the Race of Creating at Least Ten Smart Cities out of Hundred Smart Cities Quota ,The Govt of Karanataka is awaiting for the Guidelines to participate in the regarding the Smart City Project from the Central Govt of India to chalk out its plan .

The Smart City Projects to be Created in Following cities if things go on track as below:
Ramanagaram, Channapatna, Devanahalli and Tumakuru under the category of towns and cities with a population of less than 5 lakh; Gulbarga, Belgaum, Hubli-Dharwad and Mangaluru for the category of population size of 5 to 10 lakh; and Bijapur, Udupi and Hospet under the heritage category

Smart City Priority on Top Five Places among the above 20 Places.

No.1 Position – Devanahalli as Bengaluru International Airport will be the Key Reason.
No.2 Position – Hubli – Dharward as Domestic Airport Connectivity Exists.
No3. Position – Tumakuru  – Again International Airport is under Consideration.
No4. Position – Mangaluru – Domestic Airport & Maangalore Port will be Key Reason.
No.5 Position – Belgaum or Belagavi as it is Considered as the Second Capital of Karnataka.
